Century Communities has acquired the remaining 400+ acres of the 1,700-acre Skye Canyon development in Las Vegas, which ranks as the 22nd top-selling master-planned community in the country based on new home sales. The builder also has acquired land for two new Texas communities with a combined 700 lots. One community will be built in Katy, and will be named Aurora. The other will be built in Tomball, named Fairway Farms. These come on the heels of the builders announcement earlier this month plans for development of 12 new communities in the Nashville market.
The Vegas acquisition makes Century Communities Skye Canyon's master developer. Century Communities has a successful track record of overseeing the build-out of several master-planned communities in the region, such as Tuscany Village in Henderson and Rhodes Ranch in southwest Las Vegas. Since the acquisition, Century Communities has already begun construction on what will eventually be 2,500 additional homes for new and existing Skye Canyon communities, including three communities slated to open in 2021, and three actively selling communities: Aspen, Madera and Northglenn. "Century Communities has been at Skye Canyon since its inception, and we're thrilled that this agreement ensures we'll be there through its completion," said Robb Beville, Nevada Division President. "We're also grateful to Olympia Companies for working with us to ensure a smooth transition and continuity with the HOA." Other builders in Skye Canyon include Beazer Homes, Pardee Homes, Toll Brothers, Pulte Homes, Woodside Homes and Lennar. Two New Texas Projects In Texas each community will offer the homebuilder's popular Lonestar and Liberty collections, boasting single-family new homes with single- and two-story floor plans and in-demand features. Fairway Farms is projected to open in spring 2021, and Aurora is projected to open in summer 2021. "Marking our entrance to the charming cities of Katy and Tomball, we're excited that these communities will expand the presence of our sought-after Lonestar and Liberty new home collections," said Chris Chew, Houston Division President. "We encourage homebuyers interested in these developments to join our interest list, which will ensure they're the first to know about community updates and Grand Opening information." Music City Expansion "We're thrilled to continue to expand our presence in the Nashville market, providing homebuyers a greater variety of locations, community amenities and home types to choose from," said John Hennebery, Nashville division president. "Buyers who act now have an exceptional opportunity to get in early at their community of choice as demand continues to rise."
