Davidson Homes is expanding into the Atlanta market with the purchase of 2,340 lots in numerous communities to build for-sale homes and plans to grow its single-family rental neighborhoods now being developed in Tennessee, Alabama and North Carolina.
Davidson Homes is building on a strategy focusing on the Southeast, according to Adam Davidson, founder, president and CEO of Davidson Homes. Georgia is the third state the company has expanded into during the past three years and it is now building for-sale homes in 44 communities across Alabama, North Carolina and Tennessee. Davidson has tapped local talent from other top builders in the area to lead its efforts in the Georgia market. Reagan Anderson, formerly with Eastwood Homes, will be Davidson’s Division President for Atlanta. Chip Reeves, Ryan Conley and Joel Harris have joined the purchasing team. Reeves moves here from The Providence Group, Conley comes from Starlight Homes, and Harris moves over from Ashton Woods Homes. Mark Bivone, also from Ashton Woods, will be Director of Construction. And he is joined by fellow Ashton Woods-alum Bryan Muddiman as a Construction Manager. Christy Duriez is the new Director of Sales & Marketing. She was with Edward Andrews Homes. “[The expansion] will also provide us a solid foundation to expand our single-family rental platform and financial services business in a market that has historically been one of the most attractive in the country,” Davidson said in a news release. Home prices in the Atlanta-area communities will range from $210,000 to $950,000. Square footage will vary from 1,600 to 6,000. Davidson Homes currently owns or controls more than 7,000 lots in Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina and Tennessee. The homebuilder is partnering with Marietta-based residential developer David Pearson Communities (DPC) to “accelerate its growth in the market,” according to the news release. Davidson purchased 2,000 lots in nine communities from DPC.
